Nashville is growing. And while locals may not be so thrilled about the traffic that comes with growth, natives and visitors alike can agree on one thing: new businesses, new people, and new adventures are all incredibly good for this city. In fact, this phenomenon has affectionately come to be known as “New Nashville,” and lucky for you, the list of ways Music City has flourished is only getting bigger.
In the near future, Nashville will play host to a plethora of exciting new ventures, from themed bars to sports complexes to delicious restaurants. We’re here to tell you what you have to look forward to – and you just might even find that these experiences make their way into your Nashville bachelorette party itinerary.
1. Indoor Drive-In Movie Theater
Cinema-lovers, take note! Plans have been unveiled for the August Moon Drive-In, a 40k square foot space under a starry night sky dome, complete with classic cars, trees, hammocks, and even fireflies. It will also boast the largest (non-IMAX) movie screen in North America. You may be celebrating your bachelorette party in the 21st century, but be prepared to get whisked away to the 50s for a night at this New Nashville experience.
2. Blake Shelton’s Ole Red Bar
Country music favorite Blake Shelton has teamed up with Ryman Hospitality to open a honky-tonk on Nashville’s famous Lower Broadway, slated to open in 2018. Named after Shelton’s signature song, Ole Red will include a two-story bar, restaurant, performance stage, dance floor and rooftop patio. Perfect place for our Nashville bachelorettes to dance the night away? We vote yes.
Opening in 2017, Topgolf is the only entertainment center of its kind, offering golfing games for all skill levels. Players can hit golf balls that contain chips to track accuracy and distance while awarding points for hitting targets. Never golfed before? That’s okay too! Nearly half of all Topgolf guests describe themselves as “non-golfers,” and we think you’ll still enjoy the venue’s impressive food and beverage menu, even if you didn’t quite make that hole-in-one.
4. The Diner Nashville
Six-story diner? Count us in. This new breakfast and brunch restaurant features an oyster bar, sit-down dining areas, a soda shop, and more. And the best part – it’s open 24 hours a day. So after you finish partying and your crew is ready for a late night bite to eat, The Diner has you covered.
5. Headquarters Beercade
What could be better than vintage arcade games? Vintage arcade games AND 16 rotating lines of draft beer all in the same room, perhaps. Pac-Man and Donkey Kong will be ready to join in on your bachelor(ette) party fun at Headquarters Beercade, a Chicago-based arcade bar that will offer a mix of craft beer and cocktails. Playing the games comes at no charge (that’s what we like to hear!), giving you all the more reason to add it to your bachelor(ette) party itinerary.
